Ástríður Jónsdóttir [au̯stʰriðʏr jou̯nstou̯ʰtɪr] is a visual artist and curator from Reykjavík. Her work is often born from reacting to the environment and her surroundings. Elements are built and rebuilt accordingly, resulting in site specific work where balance and tension are ever present. A suggestion of an event that has passed - or perhaps an ongoing process yet to be concluded.

In 2022, Ástríður co-founded Associate Gallery, an artist-run gallery, project space and studio in Reykjavík, with Joe Keys and Hildur Elísa Jónsdóttir. She is also a co-founder of Working Name Studios, a collectively owned arts organisation based in Oakland, California.
